The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health provides multidisciplinary services for women in our center. Obstetrics / Gynecology are the two surgical–medical specialties dealing with the female reproductive organs in their pregnant and non-pregnant state. Our centre promote multitude of services under one roof including health care and diagnostic evaluation, clinical care and education for all women’s health needs. We believe in providing everyone a quality of care such that our measure of success is in the number of smiles we leave behind.

Cancer Screening and Vaccination against Cervical Cancer
Cervical cancer is the fifth most common cancer in humans, the second most common cancer in women worldwide and the most common cancer cause of death in the developing countries. We provide effective screening in the form of Pap smear for detecting precancerous changes in the cervix such that the disease can be prevented even before it develops into a cancer. Prevention of cervical cancer by vaccination is emerging as the most effective option and this facility is provided at our centre with the availability of vaccines.
Tumour marker testing as well as ultrasound scanning is available at the facility to identify any cysts / tumours in the ovaries. This allows for timely intervention includes identifying any precancerous changes in the uterus and ovaries, especially in menopausal women.
Several women suffer from a variety of symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, inadequate sleep, anxiety etc., as they approach menopause (cessation of periods). Most of these women unfortunately choose to live with those unpleasant symptoms. Our menopause clinic provides adequate support to women in this phase of life, and helps them ‘age graciously’ by offering them various treatment options.
